What We Do

At Hill House, we grow high-quality native plants for gardens, landscape restoration projects and habitat creation. Our goal is to help you create harmonious gardens and diversity-rich landscapes, and to preserve and restore our natural ecosystems by doing so.

We sell only our own nursery-grown plants that come from seed or division, or are propagated vegetatively—never wild-collected. 

Among the natives we cultivate are:

• Perennials & Ferns
  
• Shrubs & Trees
  
• Vines
• Native grasses, sedges and rushes
  
• Fruit-bearing species

The plants we offer are chosen for their aesthetic qualities, durability, vigor and wildlife benefits. 

We offer our plants for sale at many regional events throughout the Mid-Atlantic (See our Event Calendar for details). You may also special order plants for pick-up at our nursery. Please contact us to arrange your purchase and pick-up.

Experience the Difference

You'll find us at plant sales, farmers' markets and other events throughout the year.  Because we strive to provide high-quality plants, we do not ship plants; but, you are welcome to visit the Nursery by appointment, year-round, although it is most enjoyble to visit during the growing season so that you can experience our gardens. You are welcome to explore our meadows or stroll down to our pond and discover the various natives we cultivate and the life that these natives support. Please contact us to schedule a time.
