Bantam Butterfly Garden

Package Description

A butterfly garden in miniature, the Bantam Butterfly Garden package for attracting butterflies in small spaces. We’ve picked our favorite species beloved by butterflies to create a compact garden that can fit just about anywhere.

Species Attributes and Seasonality

Orange butterfly weed starts blooming by early-May with the tubular white flowers of penstemon following closely behind in mid to late-May. Yellow blooms of Coreopsis ‘Zagreb’ and white tubular flowers of Penstemon ‘Husker red’ follow quickly after blooming through mid-June. Hoary mountain mint beckons pollinators with its nectar rich white flowerheads along with the purple spikes of blazing star and pink flowerheads of Phlox ‘Jeana’ throughout July and into August. Palm sedge and little bluestem provide year round structure and fall and winter interest with their golden fall foliage.

Site Selection

This garden will thrive in any location with at least half a day of sun. Plant it around a small outdoor patio or along the sidewalk leading to your door.
